Mariano Dawidson is an Argentine director whose career spans film, documentary and music video. With over twenty years of experience and more than three hundred productions directed, he combines a cinematic eye with a full understanding of the filmmaking process — from creative development through post-production.
In 2014 he premiered his first feature film, La Sangre del Gallo, at the Mar del Plata Film Festival, later distributed by Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Starz. Since 2020 he has been a Sony Alpha Partner, and serves on the selection committees of the Latin Recording Academy and as a member of DAC (Argentine Film Directors Guild).
Born in Buenos Aires in 1978. He studied Graphic Design and Illustration at the Escuela Martín H. Malharro in Mar del Plata and graduated as a Film Director from ENERC in 2004. His professional path began in post-production, specializing as an editor and colorist before moving fully into directing.
In 2012 he won the Gardel Award for Best Music Video for León Gieco’s "Hoy Bailaré." He co-directed the feature film La Casa Acecha with his brother, Eric Dawidson. He is a founding member of the Argentine Chamber of Music Video.
